Back Pressure Valves
To prevent unmetered liquid from free-flowing through the pump, metering pump systems require a greater pressure in the discharge line than the suction or inlet line. When the process does not supply a minimum of 25 psi above the suction pressure, a backpressure valve is required. Standard back pressure valves are available in specialty steel, 3l6 ss, alloy 20 and PVC .
